Chacho SVNRS prepares for WHITE Milano with the support of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria

2026-10-09

The brand, winner of the WHITE Milano Award at Gran Canaria Swim Week 2026, will present its collection to international buyers, fashion press and industry professionals

Minerva Alonso, Councillor for Economic Development, Industry, Trade and Crafts at the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, and designer Fran Casillas held a working meeting this Tuesday to finalize Chacho SVNRS’s participation in WHITE Milano, taking place from September 24 to 27 alongside Milan Fashion Week.

The meeting, held at the brand’s creative space in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, focused on coordinating the final details of this international initiative, developed in collaboration with the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce. The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the pieces travelling to Milan and define the objectives of Chacho SVNRS’s presence at one of Europe’s leading platforms for contemporary, resort and beachwear brands.

Chacho SVNRS will take part in WHITE Milano after receiving the WHITE Milano Award at Gran Canaria Swim Week 2026. The award recognizes the brand’s creative identity, commercial potential and capacity for international growth. In Milan, the brand will have the opportunity to present its collection to buyers, fashion press and industry professionals, while establishing new contacts and exploring business opportunities.

Minerva Alonso highlighted that "this award turns the talent showcased at Gran Canaria Swim Week into a real opportunity for international promotion and commercial development. Chacho SVNRS’s presence in Milan strengthens the international profile of the island’s fashion industry and demonstrates the importance of supporting our brands in platforms where they can connect directly with buyers, media and key industry players".

The councillor added that "the collaboration with WHITE Milano is part of the internationalization strategy promoted by the Cabildo through Gran Canaria Moda Cálida. We want the visibility gained by designers on the runway to have a lasting impact and translate into professional contacts, stronger positioning and new opportunities for growth beyond the islands".

Fran Casillas expressed his enthusiasm about representing Gran Canaria at WHITE Milano: "I’m absolutely thrilled to represent Gran Canaria with Chacho SVNRS, a brand that reflects the fresh, urban spirit that is so characteristic of the islands. We are approaching this opportunity with huge excitement and with the goal of returning with new buyers so that our fashion can reach an ever-growing audience. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and we’re going all in".

A partnership to strengthen international visibility

The participation is part of the ongoing collaboration between Gran Canaria Swim Week and WHITE, which began in 2025 with the intention of continuing for at least three years. The agreement aims to leverage the international visibility and strengths of both platforms to expand the reach of swimwear and resort fashion connected to Gran Canaria.

For the September edition, WHITE Resort will have its own dedicated space within WHITE Milano, located in Milan’s Tortona Fashion District. Gran Canaria Swim Week will have a dedicated area for the award-winning brands, exhibition and networking spaces, as well as communication activities aimed at buyers, press and brands.

The partnership also includes a four-month promotional programme across WHITE’s channels, featuring social media content, newsletters, coverage in industry media and specific initiatives to strengthen Gran Canaria Swim Week’s positioning within the international fashion industry. The plan is expected to generate a minimum of 60,000 views dedicated to the project.

Through this initiative, the Cabildo de Gran Canaria continues to advance its strategy of supporting brands in expanding into international markets, strengthening their competitiveness and positioning the island as an international reference point for swimwear and resort fashion.
