Agatha Ruiz de la Prada
Gran Canaria Swim Week 2025

This summer marks a new chapter. Agatha Ruiz de la Prada began working at the age of 20 in the studio of designer Pepe Rubio, and shortly after, she presented her first collection at a fashion show in Madrid, becoming part of the “Movida Madrileña.” Since then, for more than 40 years, she has presented her collections twice a year at MBFWMADRID, followed by shows in over 50 cities around the world.

Her business model is fashion for everyone, including children, but it doesn’t stop there. She has extended her colorful universe through licensing to products such as paints, playgrounds, doors, watches, medical uniforms, wallpaper, perfumes, furniture... practically any item needed in our daily lives. There is hardly a person in Spain who hasn’t owned a product by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada at some point in their life.

Her presence is felt worldwide: in Tokyo airports with notebooks and pencils, in Mexico with bags and luggage, and she is omnipresent in Argentina and Chile with her perfumes.

It is a cross-sector business model, where she has achieved the difficult fusion of design and industry.

Agatha Ruiz de la Prada is more than just fashion; her creations are a true medium of artistic expression. From the beginning of her career, she has exhibited her masterpieces in art galleries and museums, using them as an important tool for communication and market penetration.

SS26 COLLECTION

Agatha Ruiz de la Prada will return to Gran Canaria Fashion Week on Friday, October 24th, to present her new swimwear collection.

The designer, true to her universe of color, humor, and optimism, will bring to the runway a proposal that pays tribute to one of the brand's great icons: the Menina dress. This time, the brand’s most recognizable piece will be transformed with an aquatic twist. Meninas overboard!

The women’s designs will showcase a vibrant rainbow that breaks down into flowers and Agatha’s unmistakable color palette, while the men’s looks will feature sets of shorts and shirts adorned with petal appliqués, ribbons, and recycled fabrics. A fusion of freshness, sustainability, and fantasy that will turn every runway appearance into a truly Agatha-style spectacle.

With this collection, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada reaffirms her commitment to fun, conscious, and color-filled fashion, celebrating the unique energy of Gran Canaria as the perfect setting for international swimwear fashion.
