Gran Canaria Swim Week 2025
Lava is a brand born at the end of 2011 on the island of Tenerife. From the very beginning, the purpose was to bring energy and a breath of fresh air to the rather stagnant scene of sports swimwear in the Canary Islands. Tired of running into obstacle after obstacle when trying to customize a swimsuit to create something original and unique, we decided to take the leap and handle the entire process ourselves. So, we began commissioning prints from local designers and artists to sublimate onto fabrics manufactured in Europe—resulting in a well-rounded product that meets the needs of anyone who loves the sea or sports, without sacrificing elegance and style.

Lava dives into Canarian waters with its new collection, Adeyahamen
“Adeyahamen”, an aboriginal word that may mean “underwater,” gives its name to Lava’s new collection. Designed to move, endure, and stand out, it pays tribute to the Canarian sea while staying true to the challenge the brand set for itself back in 2011: to dress every athlete with joy and style.
This time, the garments are covered in prints of marine life native to the islands, creating a fusion between athletic performance and bold design.
Adeyahamen doesn’t follow trends—it creates them. It’s made for those who seek performance but also want a second skin that resonates with the same energy as our islands.
