Joana Michaela
Gran Canaria Swim Week 2025
Joana Meyer Duró, a recent graduate in Textile Technology and Design Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, was born in Barcelona in 2002 to a German father and a Spanish mother. For her final degree project, she developed an innovative 3D-printed textile, which led her to create her first dress entirely produced using this technique in Milan. This milestone marked the birth of Joana Michaela, her personal brand, where technology and craftsmanship maintain a constant dialogue.

SS 2026 COLLECTION
Joana Michaela presents her first resort collection, “Les Flors” ( The Flowers) an avant-garde swimwear proposal where craftsmanship and technology coexist in a constant dialogue. Each piece is entirely made with 3D-printed fabrics, exploring new textures that reinterpret traditional lace through a contemporary lens.
The lace patterns draw inspiration from the floral shapes that decorate Modernist tiles, evoking a visual imagery deeply rooted in Mediterranean aesthetics. The color palette is inspired by the murals of Gaudí’s La Pedrera.
The muse for this collection is Brigitte Bardot: free, sensual, and naturally sophisticated. A timeless spirit translated into unique garments, created for women who celebrate elegance with attitude and character.
